I’ve been covering search for a while and sometimes you see questions you really haven’t seen before, this is one of those times. Someone asked Google’s John Mueller if Google still has an indexing limit of 250 static pages per web site. The answer is no, Google has no limit but I’ve never seen that question asked before.
There are massive sites out there with millions and even billions of pages on them and Google can, if it wants to, index all of those pages. Sites like the New York Times, Amazon, and so on have millions of pages indexed by Google and often Google indexes thousands of new pages on some of these sites each day.
So the number 250, I am not sure where that comes from but interesting to see it being asked.
Here are the tweets:
There is no limit.
