The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers surged on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during weeks 13 through 15 of the National Football League season, according to social marketing firm Unmetric.

The Chiefs posted the highest growth on Facebook from Nov. 29 through Dec. 16, as well as the highest engagement on Facebook and Instagram, while the Chargers led Twitter in growth and engagement.

The Chicago Bears saw the highest growth on Instagram during the three-week period.

Unmetric analyzed all 32 teams in the league on the three social networks from Nov. 8 through 26, using its cross-channel reports, and it also found that:

  • There was no change in the audience size leaders for the three social networks, as the Dallas Cowboys topped Facebook while the New England Patriots paced Twitter and Instagram.
  • The Cowboys had the most Facebook posts, while the Miami Dolphins were the top tweeters and the New York Giants led in Instagram posts.
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers tallied the most likes on Facebook, while the Cowboys paced Twitter and Instagram.
  • The Cowboys led Facebook and Instagram in comments, while the Steelers did so on Twitter.
