Sean Healy will leave Zenith to head up strategy at Carat in December.
Carat has hired Sean Healy, the global head of communications planning at Zenith, to fill in the role of chief strategy officer. Healy will take over the position on Dec. 3 from Sanjay Nazerali, who was promoted to global chief strategy and development officer of Dentsu x.
His appointment marks the first global leadership hire by new Carat global president Christine Removille, one of Accenture Interactive’s founders, who came aboard in September. Removille replaced former global president Will Swayne, who has since moved into a global role at Dentsu Aegis Network focused on integrated solutions for clients.
“Sean will bring huge value to the team as we further transform Carat around truly data-driven communication strategies and create an approach to the media sector that will transform the way we work,” Removille said in a statement.
Going forward, Carat is focused on becoming the leader in leveraging “consumer understanding” through “intelligent targeting, strategy, planning and activation,” she added.
Before Zenith, Healy held a short stint as managing director of Walker Media; prior to that, he spent over a decade leading planning and strategy at Mediacom. He’s worked with brands such as L’Oreal, Essity, Sky and Shell.
