Facebook will begin requiring businesses to confirm their relationships with other businesses before sharing pixels or offline event sets with them.
Businesses will also be required to reaffirm their compliance with Facebook’s business tools terms of service.
The social network said in a blog post that throughout November, businesses initiating the process of sharing pixels or offline event sets will need to go through this process, adding that during the first half of 2019, the requirement will extend to business that have previously shared pixels, app events or offline event sets.
Facebook added, “We know some businesses share pixel or offline event data with other businesses, like ad agencies or marketing partners that may run campaigns on their behalf. To make this process more transparent, we’re rolling out new requirements in the sharing process.”
